About Us
I began my construction career in high school framing houses. After a few
years I was hired by a large construction company and was promoted to
superintendent. I oversaw many extensive and challenging projects which
included; full home renovations, large custom homes, and tenate
improvements at UCSD and SDSU.
In 1996, I started Mark Lettau Construction. I began with home repairs and
remodels. The company grew due to referrals from satisfied customers and I
expanded the business to accommodate larger remodels, full home renovations
and custom homes. My goal for the business has always been to give my clients
quality work at fair prices no matter the size of the project.
In 1999, we purchased property in Jamul and built our home

Then, in 2005, while I was working on a large
home renovation, the owner and I discussed building custom homes. We wanted to
find a faster, practical and economical way to construct new homes. Pacific
Modern Homes Inc., P.M.H.I., introduced us to a state-of-the-art method of
building called, "Panalization." By building homes using this
method, our clients are able to save money, get a better product and
their home will be built much quicker than using the traditional framing
method. We have successfully built 8 homes using this labor saving process. In
2008, Mark Lettau Construction became the authorized supplier for PMHI for San
Diego.
